Aces

H.P. Lovecraft - my favorite writer of tentacled horror...or any horror, for that matter. And Kuato from the awesomely bad Arnold Schwarzenegger flick Total Recall, that was based on a Philip K. Dick story, if I remember correctly.

Kings

Decker from the Clive Barker film Nightbreed (a perennial favorite!), and El Santo, scourge of the Mexican supernatural underworld (from any of a huge number of films).

Queens

Evil Nurses from later Silent Hill games, and Zhaan from the SciFi Channel/Henson Productions show Farscape.

Jacks

Bill Paxton as Severen in Near Dark (now there's a film that warped my 11-year-old brain), and Marty Feldman as Igor in Mel Brooks/Gene Wilder's Young Frankenstein.

interlude - jokers

Black joker is me, how I actually looked at the time, but with a wholly fictional tshirt. Yes, those are my actual tattoos.

10's

Maria from Fritz Lang's Metropolis (so awesomely iconic!), and Ludo from Labyrinth.

9's

The Pale Man from Guillermo del Toro's visually amazing Pan's Labyrinth, and a ghostbuster.

8's

Graf Orlock the Vampyre from Nosferatu, and Igoo from The Herculoids.

7's

Several people pegged the 7 of Hearts as the evil Captain from Willow, but it's actually Clancy Brown as The Kurgan in the original Highlander. Also, Mike Mignola's Hellboy.

6's

Marcus Fenix from the original Gears of War game, and an evil Red Lectroid from the awesomely bizarre film Buckaroo Banzai.

5's

Poor rendition of Baron Vladimir Harkonnen from the David Lynch Dune, and an Atlas-series battlemech with pilot.

4's

Metaluna Mutant from This Island Earth, and the save game symbol from the Silent Hill series of videogames. Both have had disproportionately large influences on my brain.

3's

Featuring the big 'ole robot from The Phantom Creeps with Bela Lugosi, and Ambassador Magma, better known to American audiences as Goldar from the show Space Giants.
