Coffee-time doodle

Alrighty then.  Personal awfulness and chaotic stress and panic just built-in to this year. (yay!).  Today: car rear-ended, phone broken, friend's son in the hospital, 2 friends in-process for awful divorces, game night cut short(I'm being a crybaby about that one, I know).

GODDAMMIT.

I, and several people I know, could really use a fucking win.  I am full of complaint; my apologies.

Reprieve

Ernest Borgnine in "The Devil's Rain", 1975.  Consider this a temporary Full Moon Reprieve. Because, you know, Easter's coming up.

Quick Sketch

I have been so busy with painting maps the last month and a half that I am going insane.  It's all stuff that I've never attempted before, so the experience is invaluable and I'm really learning a whole lot of new information.  But oy vey, this is stressful.  So here's my half-hour meditation on not knowing what I'm doing.

Monster Women Magazine Presents: Miss Lucy Ferra!

Okay, so this cover I made up out of whole cloth.  There's a fumetti titled "Lucifera", but that wasn't at all what I was going for.   Also dated this issue for the year & month I was born, since Lucy's my own creation and I have no covers from the 70s planned.   Just wanted to paint an old-fashioned devil girl.

Cacodaemon

Sleepy Oni Presents "A Personal Demon:  Cacodaemon".  A 13-piece (in)action figure, 'bout 7" high.  Ball joints at head, neck, shoulders & wings;  pin joints at elbows, wrists & hips.  Mold-making begins tomorrow(!).

Another crazy experiment...

unfinished project #78

This was my slightly-damaged base sculpture for a planned Demon-headed lightswitch cover, to be cast in plastic. Built to fit over a real lightswitch cover, so as to avoid any hazards by way of electricity-meets-meltable-substance-not-designed-to-go-near-electricity.

I got as far as starting to make the molds for this, but then discovered that the silicone I was using was a different formula than I thought it was/was familiar with...the mold halves stuck together terribly. After much tension and trying to cut it out of the mold, I put it in a box and forgot about it. I still have it, somewhere, still trapped in (by now) crappy, useless silicone rubber.
